A36 hot rolled steel cee channel, also referred to as “American Standard Channels”, are an excellent candidate for most processing techniques. A36 hot rolled steel channels have a rough, blue-grey finish. A36 material is a low carbon steel mild steel which is long lasting and durable. Hot rolled C channels have a “structural shape” meaning at least one dimension (excluding length) is greater than 3 inches. Cee channel inside flange surface have approximately a 16-2/3% slope, which distinguishes them from “MC” channels. Common applications include structural support, trailers, and other architectural uses. ASTM A36 / A36M-08 is the standard specification for carbon structural steel.

A structural steel c channel is a steel structural C shape with inside radius corners that is ideal for all structural applications, general fabrication, manufacturing and repairs. The configuration of a channel and its C shape or U shape is ideal for added strength and rigidity when your project’s load is vertical or horizontal. A channel is easy to weld, cut, form and machine with the proper equipment and knowledge. A channel is frequently used to frame smaller structural projects or provide intermediary support in large construction. Full range of sizes in 20’ and 40’ lengths in black and galvanized.
As a structural steel c channel supplier, we supply the common grades of structural steel U and C channels. The common grades include A36, A529 GR 50, CSA 44W, CSA 50W, and more.
The structural channel, also known as a C-channel or Parallel Flange Channel (PFC), is a type of (usually structural steel) beam, used primarily in building construction and civil engineering. Its cross section consists of a wide "web", usually but not always oriented vertically, and two "flanges" at the top and bottom of the web, only sticking out on one side of the web. It is distinguished from I-beam or H-beam or W-beam type steel cross sections in that those have flanges on both sides of the web.
