  On-chip transformer-based isolated power supply solution

 

  According to different requirements, the isolated power supply in the system can be divided into three parts: drive isolated power supply, sampling isolated power supply, and communication isolated power supply, among which, the drive/sampling isolated power supply is more inclined to adopt the external transformer/multi-winding output power supply scheme due to its relatively large power and centralized layout; while for communication isolated power supply, the layout is relatively far from the main power circuit of the system and the power consumption is relatively low, the independent The form of isolated power supply module is often more favored.

 

  NIRSP31 adopts the industry-leading on-chip transformer technology and integrates isolated power supply and three-channel digital isolator on a single chip, and uses advanced LGA package (4mm×5mm) process, which greatly reduces the PCB layout area and height compared to the traditional independent isolated power supply module + optocoupler/digital isolator solution, and can further reduce the system cost.
